Short Bio
Paul is a sought-after speaker and author. His speaking ministry spans the globe and has taken him to 87 nations on every continent. He has co-founded three ministries (Word by Heart, photogenX, and A Voice for the Voiceless). He is a global leader in the YWAM network and resides in Kona, Hawaii, with his wife and three children.
Longer Bio
Paul Childers was born and raised in New Zealand to an American father and a New Zealand mother. At 14, he responded to the call to preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). Since then, Paul has been on the go and has ministered in 87 countries.
His training combined theoretical knowledge and practical experience. He received an ACM from the University of the Nations, BMin from Laidlaw College. He is currently a candidate for a Master of Arts in Leadership. His training included an internship under Loren Cunningham, founder of YWAM, which took him to 14 nations. He also did practicums in church and mission organizations.
His ministry career has spanned the globe. He co-founded Word By Heart, a ministry that trains people to learn whole books of the Bible by heart. This ministry has expanded to 20 nations in every continent. He also co-founded photogenX and Voice for the Voiceless, which serves the poor and needy. For over 20 years, he has also served as a global leader of YWAM under Loren Cunningham.
He has authored and published ten books and photographic projects. These have sold over 100,000 globally in multiple languages. His productions have always promoted transformative action that changes lives and hearts.
Paul has been married to Susi Childers for 19 years, and they have three children. Although they often minister in Africa, Asia, and Europe, their home base is Kona, Hawaii.
